It’s time for the 2009 Show Committee to stand up and take a bow.

What a wonderful Specialty all through the hard work and dedication of the members and friends of the STCC.   Their work started many months earlier.   Paul La Fontaine soliciting ads for our catalog.   Jacki Forkel soliciting trophy

donations.   Judy Makem searching for raffle items and selling tickets.   Sherry Swickard and Jacki Forkel searching for trophies.   Days before myself, Al, Adrian, Sherry and Joe hit the grounds to survey the new sight and start setting up.   Friday Sylvia Moody, Penny

Then the big day.

We had picture perfect weather and the English Garden Party theme was just right.   Jacki and Sherry picked antique tea service pieces for our trophies.   Sylvia joined in and the trio decorated our ring with gorgeous roses and lace

table coverings.   Debra and Diana put on an irresistible breakfast and  lunch followed by a cake made by Debbie of a Scottie lying on his back kicking his feet in the air.   Their centerpieces were teapots with flowers and

with whimsical Scotties in them.   Sherry, Joe, Darrah and Sylvia handled booth sales.   Sandy Meek set up the silent auction and we had many wonderful items donated.    Webb again handled the cart bringing the judges to the ring.

Our regular class judge Sheila Maw and sweepstakes judge Ramona Benson both drew outstanding entries.   Both breeder judges regular classes sixty five and sweepstakes twenty four.    What a compliment to these two ladies.   It should be noted the next day breeder judge Joanne Kinnelly drew twenty three in sweeps and Richard Powell drew sixty four in the classes.

Top honors at our Specialty went to our own Jacki and Dick Forkel with Ch Jacglen’s Forever Present who also earned for his breeder owners the STCC Breeder of The Best of Breed Medallion.    Best Opposite

Sex went to Jackie Robinson and club member Judy Di Girolamo’s Ch Pjscot’s Elegant Eleanor.    Winners bitch went to club members Adrian and Linda Sanchez with Paloma’s Ruby Tasha.    Winners Dog and Best of Winners went to club members Marilyn Garfield and Margaret Plumb with Top Brass Razzle Dazzle.

Ramona picked for her Best in Sweepstakes J-Mar’s Chances Are owned by club members Danica, Peggy and Jerry Burge.   Best Opposite So What Dhurazzel owned by Robbi Garvin, Carmen Thompson and Debbie Mackie.

Many thanks to club member Pamela Offutt who kept things moving with her expert ring stewarding.

Many thanks to our Dinner Committee chair Adrian Sanchez who made all the arrangements with the Holiday Inn.   Sandy Meek handled the reservations.   Willa Caddin and Becky Utts made wonderful centerpieces and table favors.    They had wonderful Scottie banks with chocolate coins in gold wrapping with the club logo in these delightful handmade money bags with velvet Scotties on

them.    Our statistician Sue Maniscalco announced the winners of our club trophies, champion medallions and performance medallions.

The STCC sincerely thanks those who worked so hard to make this a wonderful show.

You are the BEST!
